Coaches and Volunteers

Welcome and thank you for applying to become a member of the PCYSA volunteer team. Your participation is greatly appreciated and makes for a fulfilling experience for each athlete.

We are currently seeking volunteers for the following positions:

• Board Member
• Rec. League Head Coach
• Rec. League Assistant Coach:
• Travel/Rec + Coach
• Age Group Coordinators: Our age group coordinators have several important duties.  Some of these are shared responsibilities such as assisting with concession stand as needed and acting as field marshal on game weekends.  Their unique duties include acting as the point of contact for coaches and parents in their age group.

All volunteer members must participate in all background screening processes that are required by Indiana Soccer. Candidates must be residents of Putnam or surrounding counties and “members in good standing” (that is, paid in full with no disciplinary restrictions) with PCYSA.

All members are volunteers and are not compensated. Coaches must obtain US Soccer grass roots certification, take the concussion awareness course and pass background check.

 We ask that our volunteers be aware of how they represent themselves, their team, and Putnam County Youth Soccer. It is imperative that our coaches are respectful to all around them including parents, opposing teams, and referees. We expect our coaches to exhibit professional behavior at all times, both on and off the field. Disciplinary action will be taken against any member of the coaching staff whose actions bring the Club into disrepute.
